We are deeply saddened by the death of Galway Kinnell who has lived as our neighbor here in Northern Vermont for over 50 years. His poetry and his presence have been a constant in our lives, guiding us along with his eloquence, grace and humility. He will be sorely missed.

Thankfully we were able to celebrate and honor Galway in August at the Vermont Statehouse.   We are grateful to Vermont Public Radio and Vermont Public Television for recording and filming this event.

Readings take place at the Brownington Congregational Church unless otherwise noted.  The intent of the series is to bring regional and national writers and poets to audiences in the Northeast Kingdom and Eastern Townships so people have the chance to hear authors read their work and to meet them personally. After each reading everyone is invited to a reception and book signing at the Samuel Read Hall House to share refreshments and conversation with the writers.
